Cervical Cancer Vaccination Program
Ambattur Rotary Hospital (ARH), in collaboration with the Rotary Cancer & Research Foundation, successfully conducted the Second Dose of the Cervical Cancer Vaccination Program on 11th September 2026.
The initiative was organised as part of ARH’s continued commitment to preventive healthcare and cancer awareness, with a special focus on protecting young girls against cervical cancer through timely HPV vaccination.
Strengthening Protection Through Timely Vaccination
The second dose of the HPV vaccine was administered in accordance with the recommended vaccination schedule, helping ensure continued and effective protection against HPV infections associated with cervical cancer.
The programme also served as an opportunity to create awareness among parents and adolescents about the importance of vaccination, early prevention and maintaining a consistent immunisation schedule.
Objectives of the Programme
The key objectives of the Cervical Cancer Vaccination Programme were to:
Raise awareness about cervical cancer and its prevention.
Administer the second dose of the HPV vaccine as per the recommended schedule.
Educate parents and adolescents about the benefits and safety of HPV vaccination.
Encourage young girls and their families to adopt long-term preventive healthcare practices.
