Ambattur Rotary Hospital Supports National Polio Immunization Drive

Polio Immunization Drive
28 - June - 2026

As part of the National Immunization Day initiative, Ambattur Rotary Hospital successfully organized a Polio Immunization Drive on 28 June 2026, reaffirming its commitment to protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases.

During the drive, 80 children received the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) at the hospital. Beyond the hospital premises, Ambattur Rotary Hospital also supported three Pulse Polio Centres at Varadharajapuram, Oragadam, and Venkatapuram, helping extend the reach of the immunization campaign across the community.

A total of 10,216 oral polio vaccine doses were administered through these centres, including 2,851 doses at Varadharajapuram, 4,627 doses at Oragadam, and 2,738 doses at Venkatapuram. This large-scale effort highlights the hospital's active role in strengthening public health initiatives and ensuring every eligible child receives lifesaving protection against polio.

The successful implementation of this immunization drive reflects the continued dedication of Ambattur Rotary Hospital and Rotary towards the global mission of polio eradication and the promotion of healthier communities through preventive healthcare.
